The lake and the urban area: A shared destiny to be reinvented. The lake shores within the Agglolac site have been gradually developed for specific uses, without any links between them and without constituting an emblematic public space. Now the aim is to constitute a strongly-marked lake front, with a wider range of uses and a new ecology. The the park boundaries are formed by “banks” that are more or less parallel to the lake shore.  The lake shore, which proposes the restoration of the natural banks along the entire shore and the developed shore that defines the boundary of the greatly planted new district, almost totally excluding any automobile traffic.  The “in-between” space, a very large grassed area, freely open to all possible kinds of use.  A written approach, like a musical score in several sections, with different routes, making use of the outstanding geographical situation and the elements of local heritage.
