The Le Gallo Stadium in Boulogne is located between the rue de Sèvres and the Quai Alphonse le Gallo. The restructuring of the stadium aims to create both sports grounds which will be approved for top-level events, and accompanying buildings providing facilities for public access and sports activities. The football and athletics field is placed on an east-west axis, perpendicular to the rue de Sèvres, so as to enhance the site’s depth of field, and to liberate a linear facade devoted to the sports buildings. The stands building is a linear building, with pure geometrical lines, placed perpendicular to the rue de Sèvres. The Tennis building, placed on the Quai Le Gallo, houses a broad double-height hall on the ground floor, which runs beside the covered tennis courts and has a direct, continuous view of the playing areas. For optimal use, we have grouped the covered courts and those which can be uncovered in a single building, placing the latter on the roof of the Tennis building as a belvedere over the Seine and the stadium.
